Astraware Releases Three New Games, Offers “April Foolishness” Sale

Astraware has released three new games this week.

Chainz, for Palm OS and Windows Mobile, is a strategic puzzle game featuring colorful graphics, sound effects, and background music for Palm OS 5.1 and all Windows Mobile devices. The regular price is $17.95, but the game is available for $9.95 until April 14 as part of the April Foolishness sale.

Many other Astraware games are also on sale, including Bejeweled, Cubis, Text Twist, and Insaniquarium.

Cubis and Fruit Frolic join Astraware’s existing lineup of Windows smart phone games, and are now available for $9.95 each during the April Foolishness sale. Smart phone versions of Bejeweled and Alchemy are currently in testing and are expected to be released soon.

Daedalus 3D: The Labyrinth Now Available for Palm OS

Daedalus 3D: The Labyrinth Daedalus 3D: The Labyrinth is now available for most palmOne and Sony devices.

This fully 3D application features ARM-optimized code with stereo sound and support for high-resolution graphics.

A Tapwave Zodiac version is expected to be released within the next few days.

A free trial download is available on the developer’s web site, or a full license can be purchased for $29.90.

ClickGamer Now Offering Warring Nations For Pocket PC

ClickGamer has released Warring Nations, a turn-based strategy game for Pocket PC devices.

The game features downloadable map modules, real time battles, and the ability to build fortresses, trade with other players, or engage in diplomatic negotiations with opponents.

A hotseat mode allows two different players to play on the same device, and an on-screen battery level indicator is also provided.

Warring Nations is $12.85 at the Clickgamer web site.

GameBoy Emulator Available for Zodiac

Firestorm gbaZ is a new GameBoy emulator from Crimson Fire. The current version can play GameBoy and GameBoy Color games. A version that supports the GameBoy Advance is expected in the near future.

This application is exclusively for the Tapwave Zodiac.

Firestorm gbaZ regularly costs $19.99, but the developer is offering a special introductory price of $17.99. It can be downloaded from the Crimson Fire web site.

Concentrix For Pocket PC Released

Concentrix Scalene Software has released Concentrix for Pocket PC. This original game features six different modes of play, along with the ability to record and replay games and synchronize high scores to an online score board.

The game normally sells for $9.95, but Scalene Software is offering Concentrix for the introductory price of $7.95 until April 15.

XScale or ARM processor required, as well as 1.3MB of Storage space and Pocket PC 2000, 2002, or Windows Mobile 2003.

Tactical Incursion Coming Soon

Xen Games has announced plans to release Tactical Incursion, a game in which players will take control of a counter-terrorist strike force.

It will offer eD graphics and lighting with fire, smoke, and more. Players will be able to challenge either an AI or another person.

There will be versions for Palm OS, Pocket PC, and Symbian UIQ. The release date for this application is not yet known.
