Cascata to Release Master Thief for Palm OS 5

One of the most important features of the ARM-based Palm OS 5 devices, is the ability for improved graphics and the speed at which they are displayed. Cascata plans on pushing the processor to the hilt with an updated MasterThief designed for 320×320 screens.

All this is made possible by the gaming engine behind the scenes, MobileWizardry’s Deity3D. Thief was originally designed for DragonBall processors, so this is more of an update than a new game. That being said, most of the code was completely re-written to take advantage of the new API for Palm OS 5 and features such as the Tungsten T navigation pad.

MasterThief will push the limits of PDA gaming, there is no doubt about that. The game should be released in the next few weeks and it seems the line is already forming. For now, check out these screen shots –

These screenshots are a sample of the new ARM OS5 version & been taken using the ULTRA quality mode on a 320×320 device.

These screenshots have been taken using the HIGH quality mode on a 160×160 device.

As soon as we get word the game is released we’ll post more along with a full review.
