Cases Du Jour

by Reads (8,524)

Believe it or not, there are many people who have more cases for their mobile devices than they have shoes (as such was me a short time ago). And so, we at Brighthand like to let you know whenever a new case is being released. Not so much because it is a good thing to protect that investment of that $99 (or $699) mobile device, but because we all know that when it comes down to it, who wants to be seen out in public with a case that doesn’t coordinate with their tie or shoes. Therefore, we present to you some of the latest cases that we have been notified about for you viewing/purchase pleasure.

Sony Ericsson P990i Leather Case from Brando

Cases Du Jour One of the more recent US released smartphones (and a popular model in markets overseas), the P990i has a pretty form fitting case being offered by Brando. A traditional flip leather case, the Brando Leather Case also features a removable belt clip, a two-snap closure, and two slots for extra Memory Stick Duo memory cards. The case also has cutouts for the camera, volume/scroll wheel buttons, and the sync/charge ports.

The Sony Ericsson P990i Leather Case from Brando is available from the Brando web site for $28.00.

The Vaja HTC Horizontal Pouch

Cases Du JourOne of the more popular case makers, Vaja, is always releasing a new case style that gives more versatility without sacrificing protection or style. Vaja’s latest, the HTC Horizontal Pouch is designed for smartphones based on the HTC Wizard reference design (which includes the TyTn, Hermes, PPC-6700, XV6700, Magellan, P3300, and P3600 models).

The Horizontal Pouch features a magnetic snap closure, optional memory card slots, and comes in several colors to suit your wardrobe or mood. The Vaja HTC Horizontal Pouch can be purchased from the Vaja web site.

The Piel Frama Leather Case for Palm Treo 750v

The Treo series gets a lot of attention from case makers as it is a popular purchase for many. With the introduction of the Treo 750v, that is only to be the situtation for more people who are looking for a well designed and functional smartphone. It only goes to match that a well designed and functional case should also be available for it.

Piel Frama makes hand-sewn leather cases for many smartphones, and their latest leather case for the Treo 750v follows their design of good looks and functional use.

Cases Du Jour

Like many other cases, the Piel Frama case features a magnetic snap closure, two memory card slots, a removable belt clip, and a sync-thru area so that you could sync and charge without removing the case. The leather case is also available in several colors and leather types. The Piel Frama leather case for Palm Treo 750v (as well as similar cases for other PDAs, smartphones, and cell phones) is available from the Piel Frama web site.

The BlackBerry Pearl Leather Case from Noreve

Cases Du Jour

I have never heard of anyone just finding a pearl without it being enclosed in a clam, and this pearl is no exception. Noreve makes cases for the new BlackBerry Pearl, as well as other mobiles and smartphones, which are both stylish, but, also do not add much bulk to the carrying/protection experience.

The BlackBerry Pearl leather case flip-style case (giving accessibility to the keys and pearl-shaped trackball), with openings for headphones and a charging cable, as well as a magnetic snap enclosure to keep things buttoned down. The case is also padded to protect against small drops.

The BlackBerry Pearl leather case from Noreve is available from Noreve’s web site in your choice of nine colors.

Conclusion

Those are just a few of the many cases that come our way. You can be sure that we will have reviews and more news as we know more about these. But just know, none of these cases will make you a famous star, but they will make your mobile that much more noticed (for a day anyways).
