Cingular Now Offering Nokia E62

After being announced a few weeks ago, Cingular Wireless is now exclusively offering the Nokia N62, a Symbian S60 smartphone.

This is a slightly downgraded version of the Nokia E61, which is widely available outside the U.S. Unlike its predecessor, the new model lacks Wi-Fi and WCDMA support. This GSM/GPRS device includes EDGE and Bluetooth, though.

The E62 measures about just about 0.5 inches thick, with a fully QWERTY keyboard (similar to BlackBerries and Treos) below its 320-by-240-pixel landscape-mode screen.

This smartphone offers multiple personal and corporate email options, including BlackBerry Connect and Microsoft Exchange.

It allows users to view, create, edit and email Microsoft Office files.

The E62 is available from the Cingular Wireless web site for $149.99 with contract and mail-in rebate.
