While Dell will not release specs until later in the month, we tell you a few things, just to clear the air.

*At least one model will feature WiFi and at least one model will not.
*All will have SDIO slots, but will not have CF slots.
*They will be lighter and thinner than the X5.
*Integarted mic and stereo jack are included, along with a rocker switch on the left side.

We have learned that Dell will not release/confirm full specs and pricing today. We do know there will be a few flavors, one with WiFi and at least one without. Processor speeds will be 400 and 300 MHz.

Here are the pictures, be patient as the photos are high res and will take a little time to load.

There has been a delay in the press release scheduled for 10am EST.

USA Today has decided to spill the beans early. Oh well, here’s a look at a WiFi enabled X3 sitting in its cradle.

Here’s their only direct comment about the X3:

New wireless-capable versions of Dell’s Axim handheld computer. As an example of Dell’s clout, within two quarters of launching its first handheld, Dell grabbed 36% of the market.

All of you Axim X3 questions will soon be answered. Starting at 11am EST there will be a conference call to announce Dell’s new site, MP3 player and the entire X3 line of Pocket PCs. We’ve had to be tight lipped for the past two weeks, but starting at 11am you’ll get to know everything we have been holding inside.

Actually news might hit a little earlier. Dell’s press release will go out at 10am, to give us a little lead time before the call. At 11am, Michael Dell will make a few comments, then Mike George, chief marketing officer, will take up to 11:15am to demo the new shopping site. From 11:15 to 11:30 there will be a very brief Q&A session.

We’ll update this article as news comes out, so refresh often!
