Straight from the horse’s mouth, it appears that Dell has plans to add more models to its lineup of smartphones running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 operating system.
Dell also referenced the demand for more Windows Phone 7 models from the company, which Weber also tweeted about: “Windows Phone 7: Michael Dell tells me demand for these phones is higher than Dell can supply.” Still, the the BBC editor said this CEO admitted that “we don’t make *that* many”.
As it stands now, Dell only manufactures one smartphone running the Windows Phone 7 operating system, the Venue Pro, which began shipping at the beginning of December last year.
With a 4.1-inch screen, 1 GHz processor, and 8 GB of internal storage, the Venue Pro sets the bar at an impressive height for any follow-up Dell models running Windows Phone 7.
Even as it is making models running Microsoft’s OS, Dell is covering its bases by offering smartphones and tablets running the rival Android OS.
