Online retailers are currently offering a variety of handheld- and smartphone-related products at low prices.

Kingston 512 MB SD Card

Kingston 512 MB SD Card Kingston is offering a $10 rebate off the cost of its 512MB SD card. PC Mall has this card for $139, so it is just $129 after the rebate.

To order this card, visit the PC Mall Web site. This rebate is over today, December 31.

SanDisk 1GB CompactFlash Card

CompactFlash cards might not be as small as SD cards, but the price per megabyte is definitely lower. SanDisk is now offering a $50 mail-in rebate on its 1GB CompactFlash card. Shopper.com shows a variety of web stores offering this card for about $200, bringing the cost down to roughly $150.

This is also the last day for SanDisk’s rebate.

Tungsten T2

palmOne’s Tungsten T2 offers Bluetooth, a hi-res screen, and 32 MB of RAM. It runs Palm OS 5.2 on an 144 MHz OMAP processor. (Read Brighthand’s review.)

Toshiba e755

Toshiba e755 The Toshiba e755 is a Pocket PC that includes built-in Wi-Fi (802.11b) wireless networking. This model uses a 400 MHz XScale processor. It comes with 64 MB of RAM and has 32 MB of ROM to allow the user to store additional files.

MPSuperstore.com is offering this model for just $298 and Shopper.com shows quite a number of sites selling it for less than $325.

This model is no longer being offered by Toshiba. It has been replaced by the e805.

Palm Zire

Best Buy is selling the original Palm Zire for $49.99 after a $30 rebate. This is a entry-level model with Palm OS 4.1 and a monochrome screeen, but was still the best selling handheld of 2003. (Read Brighthand’s review.) To learn more or make a purchase, visit the Best Buy web site.

In addition, Amazon.com has this model for $61.94, plus a $20 mail-in rebate. This brings the cost down to $41.94. Visit the Amazon.com web site to make a purchase.

Motorola MPx200

A previously mentioned bargain is still available. Amazon.com hasn’t yet stopped offering Motorola’s new MPx200 smart phone for free after a number of rebates available to those starting a new wireless service account.

The device itself costs $300, but Amazon.com will take $130 off the cost if an AT&T wireless service plan is purchased at the same time. In addition, Amazon is offering a $170 mail-in rebate to those who start a new one-year service contract with AT&T Wireless. Also, those who are willing to sign a two-year wireless service contract with AT&T can get an additional $50 mail-in rebate from AT&T.
