FedEx couriers to use specially designed Pocket PCs

by Reads (4,207)

According to a story on CNet News, FedEx couriers will soon be carrying wireless Pocket PCs. The new devices, called PowerPads, provide direct wireless access to FedEx’s package tracking network, so drivers will not have to return to their trucks to upload the information as they currently do.

Made exclusively for FedEx by Motorola, the PowerPad is currently in testing and is expected to be widely available in early 2003.
