First Memory Stick Select Models Available

Online retailers have begun listing and taking orders for the Lexar Memory Stick Select, 256MB memory stick. It seems reasonably priced at $90. If you missed it, the “Select” memory sticks are really two 128MB cards in the same form factor, with a switch to select which card you want to use.

This news is especially odd for a couple reasons. The first and only rumor we’ve heard on the Select memory sticks was regarding a joint venture between Sony and Sandisk. What’s more, the units were rumored to sell for $135, so $90 is a very welcome surprise.

Either way, you can order one right now from eCost. Hit this link and search for item number 1869809.
