Being all thumbs can come in handy for those who want a faster way to put text into a Palm V. The new, 1.4-ounce ThumbPad Keyboard, made by Targus, is one of the smallest external keyboards for any Palm organizer. The ThumbPad snaps onto the hand-held computer’s serial port and draws its power from the computer. Because of its curved design, it does not need to be used with a flat surface or support stand. The ThumbPad, which sells for $39.99, also has built-in shortcut keys programmed to perform functions like highlighting and copying text. The current model works with the Palm V and Vx models, and Targus plans keyboards for the Sony (news/quote) Cli , the Handspring Visor and the Compaq iPAQ. The ThumbPad is sold at, online stores and retailers like Staples and CompUSA (news/quote).
