SoftMaker has released a free public beta version of PlanMaker for Windows, a Microsoft Excel-compatible spreadsheet application. The free beta versions for other platforms, including Pocket PC, Windows CE, Linux, and CE.NET handheld PCs, are expected to be available within the next few weeks.
PlanMaker is able to seamlessly convert Microsoft Excel 5.0, 95, 97, 2000, Excel XP, and Excel 2003 files. Features include more than 320 functions, shape drawing, and more than 70 chart types in 2D and 3D.
When the public beta is finished, PlanMaker will be available for $49.95 through SoftMaker and several resellers.
