Garmin iQue 3600 Shipping From Some Mass Merchants

I have eagerly been waiting to test out the Garmin iQue 3600, the first PDA with integrated GPS. Production problems have caused multiple delays, but I’m happy to report that I have one on the way. Monday should be quite exciting, as long as I don’t crash while driving with the iQue in one hand and the wheel in the other.

So far the iQue 3600 has only been available in small quantities from the outdoorsy-type shops that carry the rest of Garmin’s GPS line. While most online merchants list the 3600 at $549 and pre-order, I was quite happy to receive an email today from indicating they had them in stock for $479.99. Further, they have a $10 off coupon and don’t screw you on overnight shipping rates like some of the less honest e-tailers out there.

Anyway, I’ll report back with a few first thoughts by mid-week. If you have any specific questions, post them to the new Garmin forum. Let’s just hope it turns out that the GPS will allow us to overlook the delays.
