GPSToday Brings Location Information to Windows Mobile Users

Windows Mobile devices have increasingly included GPS receivers as of late, and software such as GeoTerrestrial’s GPSToday is primed to help users take advantage of it.

GeoTerrestrial GPSTodayDrawing on the idea that the Today Screen is the ideal place for interacting with dynamic information, GPSToday uses it to display accurate address, direction, and speed information.

Recently updated to version, this application includes GeoWeather, GeoLogger, and the GeoTerrestrial GeoTagger add-on for automatically geo-tagging/geo-coding pictures. In addition, GPSToday features:

  • Single tap from the Today Screen to access fully draggable online maps
  • Viewing address book contacts on the map with shortcuts to call/email/SMS
  • User interface designed for non-stylus use

GPSToday is available as a free application, and is compatible with Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices that have 240×320 (QVGA), 480×640 (VGA), 240×240, and 320×320 screens.
