Handmark has unveiled its new Handmark Express wireless information service for Palm OS and Windows Mobile smartphones at the CTIA 2004 show in Atlanta. The new service allows smartphone users to quickly obtain information about news, weather, sports, movie listings, stock prices, and more.
Handmark Express is designed to make smartphones “smarter” by providing quicker access to important information than browsing alone. The application is client-based, not browser-based, and is optimized for small handheld screens.
Its 411 directory allows users to avoid making costly calls to directory assistance, and the mapping function quickly provides street-level maps between any two points in the user’s address book.
Handmark Express is available now for $6.99 a month, or for a prepaid annual subscription fee of $69.90. For more information or online purchase, visit the Handmark web site.
