HP iPaq 4150 Rumored Device

Pocket PC Italia has posted more news about rumored upcoming iPaq devices from HP.  This time they have a picture of what is being dubbed the 4150.  The look and feel of this iPaq is more like the 1900 series of devices but it includes features from the bulkier high end 5000 series iPaq devices.  The iPaq 4150 is rumored to include:

– Wi-Fi 802.11b
– Bluetooth
– 1000mAh Lithium Ion battery that will be removable
– 3.5 ” TFT display
– 64 MB RAM, 32 MB ROM
– Intel XScale 400 MHz processor
Windows Mobile 2003
– Bluetooth, Wi-Fi LED Indicators
– 113.6 x 70.6 x 13.55 mm dimensions (length x width x depth)
– SecureDigital expansion

This product makes sense for those that like small form factor but don’t like to give up the features of the larger devices.  You won’t have the CompactFlash expansion capability for some accessories you might want, but in my opinion this is becoming somewhat less relevant as various types of accessories are being brought out in the SD Form factor and Wi-Fi & Bluetooth are already built into this device.  This device is very similar in specs to what we believe the Dell Axim X3 will be.  It will be interesting to see if this product does make it to market and what the price point is, my guess is it would retail for around $450, but they’ll need to get it lower than that to compete with a new Axim of similar type specs.
