HP Portable Bluetooth Keyboard Now Available

HP has begun offering a folding keyboard for its iPAQ line of Pocket PCs.

This accessory communicates with the handheld via Bluetooth short-range wireless networking.

Because there doesn’t have to be a physical connection between the two devices, this keyboard is compatible with a variety of iPAQ models, as long as they have Bluetooth.

According to HP, the iPAQ h2200, h3000, h4100, h5000, h6300, rx3000, and hx4700 series can all use this model. It’s possible other Pocket PCs can also use this keyboard, but these are the only ones HP lists.

Like most portable keyboards, this one folds up to make it easier to carry around. When closed, it is 4.1 inches tall, 5.9 inches wide, and 0.8 inches thick (150 mm by 105 mm by 19.7 mm).

HP is charging $99 for its Bluetooth keyboard, which makes it less expensive than what it likely to be its chief rival, the Think Outside Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard.

This accessory is available now from HP’s web site.
