A software update that fixes a couple of small bugs in the iPaq hx4700 series has returned to the HP web site.
This update was released last month, but was withdrawn a few days later after a driver installation problem cropped up in some languages. A new version without this bug is now available.
According to HP, this update will ensure that no speaker damage results from third-party audio applications that generate a very high-volume audio signal.
Also, it fixes a bug that causes the Microphone Automatic Gain Control (AGC) setting to not be saved after a power cycle.
It is for all devices in the hx4700 series.
Thanks to Pocket PC Thoughts for the tip.
