AT&T looks to be getting as much of its Windows Phone 8 news out as possible today, quickly following up its announcement of its support for the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 with a similar statement saying that it will also carry the HTC 8X. Like its Nokia announcement, HTC made no mention of pricing or an exact release date, but said that the HTC 8X would be available come November.
Curiously absent from the announcement was any mention of the HTC 8X’s little brother, the 8S, which will serve as the company’s mid-range Windows Phone 8 device. It seems a little odd, given that the 8X and 8S were initially unveiled together, clearly meant to provide users with a top-tier and mid-tier Windows Phone 8 option. But perhaps another announcement is in the works.
More about the HTC 8X
The HTC 8X, sporting a 4.3-inch, 1280 x 720 display and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, is going to be powered by a 1.5 GHz, dual-core processor. As has been the case with many of HTC’s recent premium phones, the 8X will also feature Beats Audio.
