A full set of specification on the HTC Eternity has leaked out, showing that this will be a very high-end device running the Windows Phone OS. It will supposedly have the largest Touchscreen yet of any smartphone with Microsoft’s mobile operating system.
And its 4.7-inch, WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive Touchscreen will be just the start. The Eternity is also going to be well supplied with other cutting-edge features.
It will reportedly use a single-core 1.5GHz processor to run Mango, an upcoming version of Windows Phone that was recently unveiled by Microsoft. The device is going to include 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
An 8-megapixel rear-facing camera will be able to record 720p video, while a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera will enable video conferencing.
On the wireless networking front, this HTC model will allegedly include 4G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, an FM radio, and DLNA. It will also have a 1650mAh battery, SRS Surround Sound, G-sensor, compass and more.
It’s not yet known when the HTC Eternity will hit store shelves, but the Mango update to Windows Phone isn’t scheduled to debut until the fall, so the wait will be at least that long. Which countries and wireless carriers will be offering it is also a mystery.
