The HTC EVO Shift 4G debuted earlier this month for $150 with contract, but some online retailers are already offering this Android OS device as much as $60 off that price to new Sprint customers.

This smartphone offers support for its 4G WiMAX network, a relatively large screen, and a sliding keyboard.

Currently, Amazon.com and its rival LetsTalk.com are selling the EVO Shift 4G for $90 with a two-year contract. This offer is only available to those who are switching to Sprint to get this device.

HTC Shift 4G from SprintWirefly.com has this product for a bit more: $120 with a new two-year contract.

HTC EVO Shift 4G Overview
This new model has a 3.6-inch, WVGA, capacitive multi-touch display and a landscape-oriented sliding keyboard.

It runs Google’s Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) on an 800 MHz processor from Qualcomm, and has 512 MB of RAM. Internal storage capacity is 2 GB, while the device has a microSD memory card slot for additional storage.

The EVO Shift 4G offers more than just Sprint’s WiMAX service — it also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as the ability to serve as a mobile hotspot for up to eight other Wi-Fi enabled devices.

It includes a 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p video recording, but no front-facing camera.

The HTC EVO Shift 4G also sports a 1,500 mAh Li-ion battery, and proximity-, light-, and G-sensors plus a digital compass.
