HTC FirstSo much for HTC’s Facebook Phone. BGR is reporting AT&T will discontinue the HTC First smartphone, which comes preinstalled with the Facebook Home software, after less than stellar sales.

Last month, AT&T discounted the device to just 99 cents with a two-year contract, and with sales still poor, the carrier has reportedly made the decision to take the device off its shelves completely, making more room for the top-selling iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4.

According to BGR, AT&T sold less than 15,000 units of the device through the beginning of the month, when the 99 cent sale began. The carrier is set to discontinue the device and send any remaining inventory back to HTC as soon as the company’s in-store display contract expired.

AT&T responded to BGR‘s report with an e-mail statement, saying “we do pricing promotions all the time and have made no decisions on future plans.”
