HTC Incredible Could Launch from Verizon in Two Weeks

A new unconfirmed report indicates that Verizon will have the HTC Incredible on sale around the end of this month. This high-end Android OS smartphone will supposedly be almost identical to the Google Nexus One, and sport a large high-resolution touchscreen and a 1 GHz processor.

Information leaking out of Verizon indicates that the Incredible will be available in two weeks. If true, then an announcement at the the CTIA tradeshow next week very likely.

A Preliminary Overview of the HTC Incredible
According to information that has leaked out of HTC and Verizon, the HTC Incredible will launch running Android OS 2.1 on a 1 GHz processor, but this will be downclocked to 768 MHz.

This model will apparently include HTC Sense, this company’s alternate user interface that enhances Google’s standard UI.

It is almost certainly a version of the HTC Bravo — other versions of this device include the Google Nexus One and the HTC Legend

This smartphone reportedly will use a tablet shape with a 3.7-inch WVGA (800 by 480 pixel) AM-OLED touchscreen. Below this will be an optical touchpad.

The Incredible is expected to support Verizon’s 3G mobile broadband network, and include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a GPS receiver.

Other features will include an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flashes, and FM Tuner, and a 1300 mAh battery. 

It will supposedly have 6 GB of internal storage plus a microSD memory card slot and 512 MB of RAM.
