HTC introduced two new handsets at IFA on Tuesday, the mid-level Desire 601 and the affordable Desire 300. The two handsets will aim to offer many of the premium features found in the One Family at an affordable price point.
The mid-range HTC Desire 601 will feature a 4.5-inch qHD display along with a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The device will also boast 4GLTE speeds, HTC Zoe compatibility with video highlights and HTC’s BoomSound front-facing speaker design.
The HTC Desire 300 will feature a 4.3 full lamination display and a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The device will also offer entry-level web browsing functionality with HTC Blink Feed allowing users to personalize live feed updates directly from the device’s home screen.
HTC has yet to announce pricing for either device thought the company did announce that it plans to release the HTC Desire 601 with mobile operators and major retailers in select markets across EMEA starting in October 2013. HTC will also reportedly begin releasing the Desire 300 to select markets starting in Oct. 2013.
