During the keynote at Google I/O last week, the company revealed that it would be releasing a version of the Samsung Galaxy S IV running an entirely stock version of Android. And while HTC explicitly said at the time that it had no plans to do the same with its flagship One handset, one inside source is saying otherwise.
The rumor came from Twitter user “LlabTooFeR,” who has a respectable track record with regards to HTC scoops, and he claimed that there will be a similar “Google Edition” of the One that will run Android without HTC’s proprietary Sense UI. In some ways, this could present a more substantial change than a Galaxy S IV bereft of the TouchWiz UI, in that one of the One’s defining features, BlinkFeed, would no longer be on the device.
