HTCs purported upcoming phablet, the One Max, first surfaced last month in a leaked document form UK Carrier O2. But claims of the One Max’s existence were bolstered yesterday when what appears to be an image of the device was leaked.
The photo comes from Taiwanese site ePrice, which issued two photos of the rumored flagship variant. The device is expected to offer a 5.9-inch display with a 1080p resolution. The supersized handset will supposedly issue a few design changes, including a lower speaker grill and buttons, which will likely help accommodate the device’s larger display. The phablet may also feature dual SIM slots (a China-specific feature), an upgraded 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, and a 3,200 mAh battery.
According to ePrice, HTC should unveil the One Max next month at IFA. However, there is always the possibility that HTC will go the Samsung route and host its own press event before the annual trade show.
