Initially due out on March 15, the release date for the One in the UK has now been pushed back to the end of the month. HTC has not provided a reason for the delay, nor has it explained the One’s postponement to April in Singapore, the news of which was revealed last week.
HTC did, however, provide a general statement with regards to the delays, with a spokeswoman telling ZDNet, “We will start fulfilling pre-orders by the end of March in certain markets and will roll out product to more markets as we approach April.”
Seeing as the release date for the One in the US has yet to be confirmed, this statement isn’t exactly great news for those awaiting a stateside release. While AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have all already committed to the One, HTC’s statement implies that we may be seeing the phone here later rather than sooner.
