Several rumors have been reported surrounding the latest Windows Mobile Smartphone from HTC. The Wizard replaces the popular HTC Magician, aka T-Mobile MDA Compact, i-mate JAM, etc. The Wizard is a GSM phone that is reported to include: EDGE, Bluetooth, WiFi, Windows Mobile 5.0, 2MP camera, mini-SD slot and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

According to Pocket PC Italia, the specs are as follows:

  • Quad Band GSM/EDGE
  • Texas Instruments OMAP 850 CPU
  • 128MB RAM, 64MB ROM
  • 2.8″ QVGA display
  • Bluetooth
  • WiFi
  • IrDA
  • 2.1 MP camera with LED light
  • Speaker/headphone jack
  • Slide out QWERTY keyboard
  • Mini-SD slot
  • Mini-USB for sync

In the US both Cingular and T-Mobile will be able to support the phone, but it’s far too early for either to comment. Rumors speculate HTC will be distributing units by early 2006.
