It looks like the HTC One Max isn’t the only device that the manufacturer has in the works for consumers this year. According to a recent Twitter post published by @evleaks on Monday, HTC is planning to release another handset before the end of 2013.
The post revealed a leaked image and specs of the purported HTC smartphone, code-named “Zara.” According to the information, HTC will be moving away from the metal chassis design it implemented with its HTC One handset, and instead opting for a plastic case design. While the materials may have changed, the Zara will offer a build that is actually quite reminiscent of the manufacturer’s flagship handset, including HTC’s BoomSound front facing speakers.
The new handset will also supposedly feature a suite of entry-level features, including a 4.5-inch qHD display, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage with microSD support. The handset will house a 2,200 mAh battery and an 8MP rear-facing camera, and it will run on Android 4.3 out of the box along with HTC’s Sense 5.5 software.
HTC is expected to release the Zara sometime during the fourth quarter of this year, but no news yet about an exact release date or pricing.
