iDisk Support Now Available for the iPhone

Apple has released a MobileMe iDisk app for the iPhone and iPod touch. This allows smartphone and handheld users to view files stored including iWork and Microsoft Office documents, PDFs, and QuickTime movies.

iDisk also allows users to share files with others.

MobileMe iDisk is available now in the App Store, where it can be downloaded for free.

This software requires that the device be running iPhone OS 3.0.

MobileMe is Apple’s service that’s similar to Microsoft Exchange but targeted at consumers, not business users as Microsoft’s offering does.

It lets users synchronize their emails, contacts, and calendars, not only with their iPhone or iPod touch but also with a Mac or Windows computer.
