iGoogle Mobile for Android and iPhone Gets a Face Lift

by Reads (11,972)

Google is trying out a new version of its iGoogle site for iPhone and Android-based smartphones.

iGoogle is a service that displays a collection of RSS feeds, stock portfolios, and more in a single page. Previously, smartphone users could access only a sub-set of the gadgets on the desktop version, but the version being tested now offers almost everything the main one does. It does not support Flash-based gadgets, however.

To use the the new version, go to igoogle.com in an advanced mobile browser and tap “Try the new Mobile iGoogle!” near the top of the page.

The company is looking for feedback on this new version. Users are asked to click on the “Tell us what you think” link at the top of the new home page.
