Hewlett Packard has released a new driver for the iPAQ Foldable Keyboard that brings Windows Mobile 2003 support, making it compatible with most recent iPAQ models.

The iPAQ Foldable Keyboard offers a near full-size QWERTY-style keyboard layout with 17mm key spacing both horizontally and vertically and 2mm of key travel. It weighs 7 ounces, and its interlocking design makes it convenient to fold up and store away. When closed, it is 3.7 by 5.8 by .6 inches; open it’s 6.9 by 9.8 by 2.8 inches.

It is compatible with the iPAQ h3800, h3900, h2200, h4100, h5400, and h5500 series. Unfortunately, it won’t work with any h1900 series model.

The iPAQ Foldable Keyboard is on sale now for $100 at the HPshopping.com web site.

For those who already own one one of these and would like to use it with a device running Windows Mobile 2003, the driver can be downloaded from HP’s support web site.

This isn’t the only foldable keyboard available for the iPAQ line. The Stowaway XT also costs $100, is compatible with most recent iPAQ models, and is available now at the Think Outside web site.

Thanks to infoSync for the tip.
