Is this the Nokia E90?

Over the past year or so, Nokia has been offering a series of cellular-wireless handhelds, including the 9300. These are larger than this company’s typical smartphones, and can be used as laptop replacements. Recently, a very sketchy rumor has emerged on what might be the next device in this series.

All that’s available at this point is a drawing that was supposedly found on a Nokia web site and some unconfirmed specifications.

The device, reportedly called the Nokia E90, will have a landscape orientation, and its screen will apparently slide up to expose a QWERTY keyboard.

According to the source of this rumor, Softpedia, this GSM device will have HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, and Wi-Fi.

The drawing shows some form of memory card slot on this unit’s exterior, but exactly what type is unknown.

Also not known at this point is even a suggestion of when the Nokia E90 will be released.

If this device is real, it will almost certainly ship with the software needed to make it the heart of a mobile office, such as a suite of applications to allow users to work with Microsoft Office files.
