Handspring, in conjunction with Sprint PCS, is going to be releasing the new Treo 300 most likely by next month. And just in case you wanted to read the users guide for this device before it’s even released, here’s a link: Treo 300 User Guide.
This user guide was posted on the FCC site, it is typical for the FCC to publicly post info about soon to be released devices and you can find much more info about the Treo 300 by viewing all the documentation behind it in the FCC Treo 300 documentation area.
The only difference that will exist between the Treo 300 and it’s predecessors, the Treo 90 and Treo 270, is the fact the 300 will use a wireless 3G network giving a max speed of around 70 Kbps (although the supposed max speed of 3G is 156 Kbps, that will not be achieved on this network). The Treo 270 has a maximum speed of 14.4 kbps on the GSM network it uses, so the data rate will be five times as high with the Treo 300.
Other than this though, the Treo 300 will offer the standard Palm OS 3.5.2, 33 MHz Dragoball VZ processor, built-in keyboard and 16MB of RAM that the other Treos provide.
