Kinoma Releases Major Upgrade to Kinoma Player, Producer For Palm OS

Kinoma has announced major updates to both Kinoma Player and Kinoma Producer for Palm OS devices.

Kinoma Player Kinoma Player 2 has a new high-resolution user interface, and now supports both interactive movies and streaming playback over the Internet. Progressive download enables users of Palm OS 5 devices to tap a web page link and immediately start playing video content.

Kinoma Producer 2 for Windows and Mac desktop computers features a streamlined interface and now directly supports encoding movies in the DivX file format. Stereo sound, higher bit rates, and widescreen video at thirty frames per second are also supported.

Both products are now available for download from the developer’s web site. Kinoma Player 2 is a free program, while Kinoma Producer 2 is $29.99 for continued use after the feature-limited free trial. For a limited time, the company is offering an upgrade to previous Kinoma Producer users for $19.99.
