LaCie has announced Fuel, an AirPlay-compatible device for Apple users complete with 1TB of wireless storage and a USB 3.0 port for fast file transfers.
The 1TB hard drive will boast a battery life of up to 10 hours and comes complete with its own Wi-Fi network. This means that users won’t have to configure their Wi-Fi network to transfer files between the hard drive and an iPad, iPhone, or Mac. Users can share media stored on the Fuel drive with up to five other devices, easily allowing for streaming via Apple TV and other AirPlay compatible equipment.
The LaCie Fuel isn’t just a storage drive, it also acts as a hotspot when connected to a Wi-Fi network. In addition to AirPlay compatibility, the Fuel drive is also compatible with Dropbox. The Fuel is also compatible with the Seagate Media app for iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire.
