It looks like Sprint customers will be able to get their hands on LG’s newest flagship, the LG G2, in time for the holidays. On Monday, Sprint announced that it would begin offering online pre-orders for the handset starting on October 11th for $200 with a two-year contract. The recent announcement still puts Sprint months behind its competitors; with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all planning on offering the device later this month – still, better late than never.
The LG G2 will mark a number of firsts for the handset manufacturer. It will be first to launch across all four national carriers, and it will be the first handset in the United States to feature Qualcomm’s 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, which currently boasts the smartphone industry’s fastest processor speed. The LG flagship will also offer a 5.2-inch, 1080p, IPS LCD display, 2GB of RAM, and a 13MP rear-facing camera.
Sprint customers can pre-order the LG G2 online starting on October 11th for $200 with a two-year contract. Users who pre-order a handset through Sprint will also receive a free QuickWindow case, which is valued at $50. Sprint plans to offer more information regarding the availability of the LG G2 at a later date, though the company did announce that the handset will be available on Sprint’s network in time for the holidays.
