The mid-range handset will go for $80 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. The LG Lucid will feature a 4-inch Touchscreen covered by Corning Gorilla Glass, and it will launch running Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread) with an upgrade to Android 4.0 OS (Ice Cream Sandwich) coming shortly after its release.
Inside the smartphone, the LG Lucid will run on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. It will also sport a 5MP rear-facing camera with flash and full HD (1080p) video capture. Those who record video will be able to edit the clips on the LG Lucid using the Video Producer app.
Other features that will launch with the handset include a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype Technology and SmartShare, an app that allows users to share media with others wirelessly to DLNA-enabled devices.
