Sprint has just begun offering the LG Marquee, a mid-range Android smartphone that sports a NOVA screen, a type designed to be brighter while also more energy efficient. In an attempt to make this model stand out from the crowd, LG partnered with five up-and-coming fashion designers from the non-profit design collective MADE to create colorful cases for this device.
The Marquee’s 4-inch, WVGA (800 x 480) uses LG’s Nova technology, which means it is a super-bright IPS LCD able to put out more light than its rivals — in this case 700 nits of brightness. LG also claims Nova is more energy efficient than other screens, thus giving the smartphone a longer battery life.
It runs Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a 1GHz processor. The smartphone will also feature a 5MP main camera, a 2MP front-facing one, a pre-installed 2GB microSD card, Wi-Fi with hotspot capability and GPS. The device is
