It appears that a few new affordable LG handsets may be on their way. On Sunday, images of a perspective follow up to the LG Optimus L9 as well as a T-Mobile branded LG F6 appeared on Twitter. The two photos were leaked via @evleaks, who has had a long running propensity for delivering accurate leaked information in the past.
Information regarding the two perspective handsets is limited; however the EU sticker is visible on the L9 II device hints that the device is likely heading over to European markets. The reported device is a follow up to LG’s Optimus L9, which offered a 4.5-inch qHD display, a dual-core 1 GHz processor, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and Android 4.0. The device was aimed at users looking for an affordable Android option at $80 with a two-year contract, and the L9 II will likely target the same audience.
The second leaked LG handset, the T-Mobile branded LG Optimus F6, is expected to fall somewhere between the previously announced (but not yet released) LG F5 and F7 models. To provide a vague idea of what the F6 will offer, the LG Optimus F5 will offer a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon Krait processor, with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 5MP rear-facing camera. The LG Optimus F7, meanwhile, will offer a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, with 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and an 8MP rear-facing camera. Both devices will run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Unfortunately, neither of the devices’ price points have been announced, making it difficult to determine how much the Optimus F6 will go for, as it will likely be priced somewhere between the F5 and F7.
