LG Spectrum 2 Debuts Exclusively from Verizon

Verizon Wireless has adding the Spectrum 2 by LG to its 4G LTE lineup. The 4G enabled handset is being exclusively offered at Verizon Wireless, and is already available online, with the device set to hit stores in the coming weeks.

The new device also features near-field communication (NFC) allowing users to quickly share data by simply tapping their phones together. In addition, the near field communication also allows users to enable different reprogrammable modes with the help of LG Tag+ stickers. By placing stickers in different locations, such as work, home, or in the car, users will easily be able to instantly switch to the appropriate settings.

The Spectrum 2 offers a 4.7-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait 1.5 GHz dual-processor and 16GB of memory with microSD compatibility offering up to 32GB. The device runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and comes equipped with both a 8-megapixel rear-camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The device is 4G LTE-enabled and is able to act as mobile hotspot connecting up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices to Verizon’s cellular network.

The Spectrum 2 costs $100 after a $50 dollar mail-in rebate with a two-year customer agreement. The device is currently available online via verizonwireless.com and is expected to hit shelves in Verizon’s stores in the coming weeks.
