LG is reportedly getting ready to issue an update to its oddly designed Optimus Vu II next month. The news first surface in a report from Korean site ET News; but since the flagship handset, referred to as the Vu 3 (as LG has thankfully dropped the Optimums branding from its flagship devices), has also been seen on an LG microsite.
The oddly shaped handset was confirmed in a tease that shows off a pair of semi-transparent Quick View cases. Available in both black and grey, the cases appear to feature a see-through design that will allow the phone to showcase a number of visually impressive notifications.
As for the handset itself, the handset will likely feature high-end specs including a Snapdragon 800 processor, a 13MP rear-facing camera and LTE-Advanced support. The LG VU 3 is expected to be released on KT Telecom, SK Telecom and LG U+ in Korea in the coming months.
