We’ve been on site today for a bit over an hour and things are looking great. I’m currently using a ViewSonic Smart Display that is essentially a WiFi LCD that connects to your PC. As far as related ViewSonic news, they did confirm plans to coninue with furhter PDA’s including entries into the corporate markets, going head to head with HP and the h5450 line. That means we’ll see wireless devices and they also alluded to more intense multimedia offerings as well.
We also played with the new Fossil Palm OS PDA watches and things look good for Fossil, especially when compared to their first effort. The units are solid and much better looking than the first ones. They also showed us their SPOT technology watch, which will come out in August.
The highlight so far today though has been the Garmin GPS device. The first Palm OS PDA to offer 32MB of RAM and GPS. Come back tonight for our pictures and the details of our conversation with their product management folks.
