Live Television Comes to the Treo 650

MobiTV is now offering live television service to users of the Palm Treo 650.

This offers over 25 channels, including popular news, sports, weather, and entertainment stations.

With MobiTV, they can now tune into live breaking news, sports scores and highlights,” said Page Murray, vice president of marketing at Palm, Inc. “Mobile television from MobiTV makes the Treo smartphone a great entertainment device as well as a productivity tool.”

MobiTV TV channels that are part of this service include MSNBC, ABC News Now, NBC Mobile, ESPN 3GTV, CNBC, FOX Sports, The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, The Weather Channel, Comedy Time, California Music Channel, Major League Baseball, Highlight Channel, and others.

The service is available to users of major U.S. wireless carriers who offer the Treo 650, like Sprint, Cingular, and Verizon Wireless, as well as to users with unlocked GSM Treo 650 smartphones on other U.S. carriers.

MobiTV for the Treo 650 is available for a monthly charge of $9.99 through its developer’s web site.
