Microsoft Releases Official Skype App for Windows Phone

The official Skype app has hit the Windows Phone Marketplace this weekend, two months after a beta was released to the public. Like the versions for othher operating sysems, this software allows users to make video calls to other Skpe users for free. 

The latest version of Skype has new features, bug fixes, and added support for 18 languages. Other new features include:

  • portrait mode video calling
  • support for joining audio conference calls
  • call-in-progress notifications
  • block and unblock contacts
  • add new contacts
