Microsoft to release CDMA software – Samsung and Hitachi confirm plans to release new PDA’s

by Reads (8,021)

As we previously reported, a mysterious Hitachi PDA with keyboard and the Samsung i700 will be formally announced today in conjunction with a Microsoft announcement regarding their entry into the CDMA wireless world.

The Samsung i700 is slated for an October release. Who knows if that’s accurate, but it’s much slower than we thought when initial news began to leak about the device.

The Hitachi model, which we reported on a few weeks ago, is nice looking as well, with an integrated keyboard and camera. It’s a bit larger than the i700 and there’s no word yet as to a release date. The carrier of choice seems to be Sprint for this one, as early images showed the Sprint logo.

To keep up on the Microsoft news, stay tuned to their CES press Web site.

New Pocket PC from Hitachi has it all, literally (picture) (12/16/2002 11:07:26 AM) – Hitachi may be about to release the first Pocket PC with everything – phone, data, keyboard, camera…am I missing anything? From the picture it looks like Sprint will be supporting this mega functional device.
