AvantGo Comes to BlackBerry

Sybase iAnywhere is now offering a beta of its free AvantGo service for BlackBerry users.

AvantGo allows users of many types of mobile devices to get news, weather, sports, movie showtimes, maps, directions, and more. There are channels hosted by hundreds of major companies, including BMW, CNET, HP, Jeep, Microsoft, The New York Times, Reuters, and Rolling Stone.

2006 Handango Champion Awards Winners Named

Handango, an online mobile software retailer, has announced the winners of its Champion Awards.

Nominated by customers and picked by a panel of industry experts and media, the these awards were presented for BlackBerry, Palm OS, UIQ, Series 60 and Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC and Smartphone applications in the following categories: Best Application for Work, Best Application for Play, Best Application for Life, Best New Application and Best Industry Application.

New Tiny Folding Bluetooth Keyboard Now Available

Online retailer Brando is now offering a very small folding Bluetooth keyboard that works with Palm OS, Pocket PCs, Symbian 6.0/UIQ, and Windows XP.

When closed, this keyboard is just  3.7 in. by 2.75 in. by 0.5 in. (95 mm x 70 mm x 13 mm).
