Nokia Maps 2.0 Adds Real-Time Traffic Information

Nokia’s pushing of location-based services (LBS) with its Nokia Maps application/service has taken a step forward with the addition of real-time traffic information. Working in concert with ARC Transistance, a European network of automobile clubs, Nokia Maps 2.0 will receive real-time road and traffic conditions of 16 countries in Europe (with more to come).

Compatible with Nokia’s S60 models that have internal GPS radios, or those using an external Bluetooth GPS receiver, Nokia Maps 2.0 is an application/service that has several vector maps provided by TeleAtlas and Navteq covering over 150 countries.

Compatible S60 devices should visit the Nokia Beta Labs website to download the real-time traffic information update.
