Pocket Tunes Adds Windows Media Player 11 Support

A recent update to the popular music playing application for Garnet OS handhelds, Pocket Tunes, has just been updated with support for Windows Media Player 11. In addition to the Windows Media Player support, there are also miscellaneous stability fixes for Zodiac and Treo 680 devices.

In December 2006, Norsoft released a major update to Pocket Tunes, pushing it to version 4. This added increased quality of playback, album art, and Internet radio enhancements. The latest update build on this.

CalliGrapher 8.5 Released

One of the most popular handwriting recognition applications for Windows Mobile devices is CalliGrapher, which has been updated to support Windows Mobile 6.0, including full-VGA and Square QVGA square screen devices.

It includes a new feature called Write Pad SIP which is a designated Write Pad area where handwritten text is immediately recognized and the recognition result is displayed before the digital text is inserted into the foreground application.

CalliGrapher 8.5 runs on devices using Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC or Smartphone devices that have a touch screen.

It can be purchased from the PhatWare Web site for $39.95 and is a free upgrade for registered users of CalliGrapher 8.0 or later. Owners of older versions can upgrade to CalliGrapher 8.3 for $24.95. BlackBerry Devices Get Cases from Piel Frama and Vaja

With the latest releases of the Blackberry Pearl and 8800 models, two popular case makers have addressed the needs of protecting those devices in style. Piel Frama has released a line of leather cases for the BlackBerry 8800 and Vaja has released a line of cases for the BlackBerry Pearl/8100.
