SlingPlayer Mobile for Pocket PC v1.0 Now Available

SlingMedia has made available the SlingPlayer Mobile for Pocket PC (version 1.0). This means that Slingbox users can now watch everything they could on their home TV… but on their handheld or smartphone.

It is available to Sling Media customers who own and have registered their Slingbox on or before April 26, 2006 for free, and for everyone else it is $29.99.

mOcean Brings iPod-like Functionality to Palm OS Treos, Palm TX, and Palm LifeDrive 

A new MP3 player for Palm OS devices has been announced. mOcean combines the layout familiar to iPod-owners, along with integration with iTunes, to Palm OS devices. It features three modes of play (mini-wheel, vertical mode, and classical mode), the ability to load and save playlists, a sound equalizer and more.

mOcean can be downloaded via trial or purchase ($19.99) at the Motion Apps web site.


Laridian Announces Major update to PocketBible Program 

Laridian, makers of the popular Palm Bible and PocketBible programs for Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Apple iPod, and Blackberry devices has announced the availability of PocketBible 3 for Windows Mobile devices. Besides sporting a much better interface, PB3 also has color highlighting, the ability to search notes, better Daily Reader integration, and the ability to open more than two books at once.

PocketBible 3 is available for trial or purchase from the Laridian web site ($10 for the reader; some Bibles and references are free, others you would have to pay for).

Agendus Version 4 Announced

iambic has released version 4 of their popular Agendus PIM application for Agendus for Windows, Outlook Edition and Palm Desktop Edition. This application now features a “Capture to Agendus” feature that captures PIM information from almost any program. Version 4 also allows for the customizing of the calendar interface with color themes and icons.

Agenda Fusion 8 and CodeWallet Pro 2006 Announced by Developer One

Two very popular Windows Mobile applications, Agenda Fusion and CodeWallet, have been updated.

Agenda Fusion 8, a task and PIM suit,e has been updated with a Dual Date feature (for example, set a reminder 30 minutes before a meeting, but also set on a few days before as well), Call Log integration with Contacts, and a Content Event Integration feature that makes an at-a-glance view of items such as birthdays, anniversaries, and other events.

CodeWallet 2006 is an electronic wallet, offering secure organization of passwords, credit card information, website favorites, contacts, online shopping accounts, insurance policies, memberships, PIN codes, and other sensitive information. Version 2006 brings enhanced synchronization, a new printing feature, and support for more languages (English, UK English, Danish, Spanish, Dutch, Norwegian, Hebrew, Afrikaans, Ukrainian, Russian, Hungarian, Italian, German, Lithuanian, Portuguese, and Swedish).

Both Agenda Fusion 8 and CodeWallet 2006 can be downloaded in trial versions from the Developer One web site. They are also available for purchase from Developer One for $29.95 each.
