Zagat To Go Updated for Palm OS, Pocket PC, and BlackBerry

Handmark has released a new version of Zagat To Go, its consumer survey-based listing of dining, travel, and leisure information

Enhancements in version 5.0 include the addition of the Top Hotels, Resorts ,and Spa guide listings and the America’s Top Golf Courses guide, as well as updates to this applications restaurant listings.

Zagat To Go 5.0 for Palm OS, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile Pocket PCs and Smartphones is now available and can be installed from either Windows or Macintosh computers. It is a free upgrade for existing customers, $24.95 for renewing customers, and $29.95 for new purchasers. More information can be found on Handmark’s web site.


iambic Releases EzAlarm for Windows Mobile Smartphone

EzAlarm is a small utility that turns a WM Smartphone into an alarm clock. It lets users set or check an alarm using a single key-press. The standard alarm clock, on the other hand, is buried in the "Date and Time" section of Settings.

Sherwin-Williams Coats Its Sales Force with Treos

Sherwin-Williams — one of the world’s largest makers of paint and related products — has deployed Palm Treo smartphones to its entire sales force in the United States, Caribbean and Canada.

With the help of a customized application built in-house as well as the standard software that ships with the devices, the employees will be using more than 2,000 Treos as their mobile office, managing email and phone calls while at customer locations.
